Enhancing Safety: Introducing WeTip 2.0

Posted Date: 09/25/23 (04:30 PM)

Huntington Beach City School District (HBCSD) is partnering with WeTip, a 24-hour anonymous reporting system (tip line), for all school sites. WeTip empowers the HBCSD school community to report suspicious activities and safety concerns anonymously and confidentially, ensuring a safer and more secure learning environment.

Immediate Emergencies: Dial 911

In the case of immediate threats or emergencies, call 911. WeTip is not a replacement for emergency services. If you feel you or someone else is in danger, call 911 immediately.

Reporting a Tip via WeTip

You can report concerns through WeTip using the following methods:

Call or Text: Dial 844-714-1387

Online Tip Reporting Form: Visit www.hbcsd.us/wetip

What Can You Report?

WeTip covers a wide range of categories, including but not limited to:

  • Bullying

  • Concerns for yourself or others

  • Discrimination or harassment

  • Physical abuse/misconduct

  • Threats to school or individuals

  • Vandalism

WeTip is a reporting system for non-immediate threats or tips to be reported. All reports will be taken seriously and immediately reviewed. Administration will address reports within a timeframe that aligns with the report's category and priority. In emergency situations, WeTip will directly notify law enforcement and emergency personnel for immediate response and action.

Together for Safety: Your Role Matters

Creating a safe and positive learning environment is a collective effort. By using the WeTip reporting system, you play a crucial role in helping maintain a secure school community. We encourage everyone to be proactive in reporting concerns and being part of the solution.

Thank you for your commitment to safety and partnership in creating a secure educational environment for all our students and staff to thrive. Together, we can make a difference.
