COVID-19 Guidelines Update

Posted Date: 09/20/23 (03:30 PM)

Given the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, we want to provide you updated information regarding the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) California COVID-19 isolation requirements and our notification procedures.

Like last year, individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 should continue to isolate for five (5) days. However, they may leave isolation after this period if they are feeling well, experiencing improving symptoms, and have been fever-free for 24 hours. This means that a negative test is no longer necessary for students to return to school after five days of isolation as long as they meet these criteria.  While masks are recommended during this period, they are not required.

As we informed you in April, we issue community notifications only in case of a cluster of cases within a class. This approach aligns with our procedures for other infectious diseases.

The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families remain our utmost priority. We encourage everyone to maintain good hygiene and stay home if they feel unwell.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.
